The Christmas spirit is everywhere

Christmas is just around the corner, the perfect time to gather in our cozy homes and celebrate by the fire or under the lights of our Christmas tree! 
 
And, as every year, the magic of Christmas invites us outdoors too, to discover the Christmas markets lighting up Belgium and enchanting us with their festive charm! 
The scents of mulled wine and other Christmas treats are waiting for you! You’ll be spoilt for choice with these destinations to explore. 

🎅 Plaisirs d’Hiver in Brussels (Nov. 29 - Jan. 5) 
The 24th edition of Plaisirs d'Hiver invites you to discover its must-sees: the ice rink, the Ferris wheel, and of course, the Christmas market with its beautiful chalets. But that’s not all! There are tons of musical, visual animations, attractions, and workshops for both young and old all over the Belgian capital. 
New this year: a magical 11-meter-high plant with sparkling leaves to admire at Mont des Arts, and "Visites Vivantes", a show blending history, heritage, and acrobatics in the Town Hall.

🎄 Kerstmarkt in Antwerp (Dec. 6 - Jan. 5) 
A growing Christmas market with a 1,200 m² ice rink, a 55-meter-high Reuzenrad offering spectacular views of the city and its lights, and the cozy Bar Den along the Scheldt to enjoy a winter cocktail while the kids play, join animations, and participate in workshops. 
Don’t miss the January burning of the giant Christmas tree at Grote Markt (with live music), a tradition in Antwerp!

🎅 Le Village de Noël in Liège (Nov. 29 - Dec. 30) 
A Christmas market with a festive and authentic atmosphere, just like the fiery city of Liège, featuring chalets, a Ferris wheel, an ice rink, and a toboggan run for winter sports lovers! 
For foodies, stop by the Gruyère AOP chalet on the square to savor the famous cheese fondue in a winter sports setting.

🎄 Gentse Winterfeesten in Ghent (Dec. 5 - Dec. 31) 
Come wander between the 150 chalets in Ghent, taste winter specialties, and enjoy attractions such as the ice rink, the Ferris wheel, and the magical atmosphere at the Castle of the Counts, adorned with enchanting lights and festive decorations. 
Also, test the country’s largest mobile roller-skating rink, located under the town hall so you can skate dry, even on rainy days!

🎅 Christmas in Namur (Nov. 29 - Dec. 31) 
Dive into the Christmas magic of the Walloon capital: ice skating, chalets, musical animations, lights, and exhibitions brighten up the streets of Namur until the end of December. 
The 2024 edition offers, among other things, a path to discover 9 light artworks and interactive experiences in the city center.

🎄 Wintermarkt in Bruges (Nov. 22 - Jan. 5) 
The Bruges Christmas market is a must-see with culinary specialties and a magical atmosphere on the Grote Markt. A visit to the elegant Vorst winter bar is highly recommended. 
Also, don’t miss the 3 km long light path revealing 10 sumptuous installations united by the theme of fire and ice.
